Are Raspberry Ketones Really a Miracle Fat Burner?

While Dr. Oz has touted Raspberry Ketones as a "miracle fat burner in a bottle" in February 2012, there have been no human studies that show raspberry ketones burn fat or benefit your weight loss to date. However now, there are interesting studies performed on rats. One study gave male rats raspberry ketones, which resulted in an increased secretion of adiponectin, a protein used by the body to regulate metabolism. As a result, the rat had less fat. Another study fed rats a high-fat diet with varying amounts of raspberry ketones. The rodents that received more raspberry ketones burned more body fat and gained less fat tissue. A third study found that the raspberry ketones stimulated the breakdown of the fat cells after fat cells were exposed to raspberry ketones in a test tube.

So what exactly are raspberry ketones? They are a chemical from red raspberries (Rubus idaeus), the primary aroma compound of red raspberries that regulates adiponectin. Raspberry ketone causes the fat within your cells to get broken up more effectively, helping you burn fat faster, lose weight, and increase lean muscle mass. The recommended dose is 100mg per day. Have your tried eating 90 pounds of raspberries? Well that's what you'd have to do to get the daily recommended dose. Instead, try a Raspberry Ketone supplement to aid in your weight loss journey.

With so many on the market, how do you know what to choose? You can opt for the straight forward, single ingredient supp like Absolute Nutrition Raspberry Ketones 60 Caps, which offers the recommended daily dose of 100mg.

Or, if you are seriously interested in weight loss, grab a product that contains Raspberry Ketones along with other fat fighting ingredients like White Kidney Bean, Saffron, CLA, Green Coffee Bean, etc. These are the most common ones that when paired together give you the most in your weight loss journey. I recommend BPI Sports' Keto-XT. This product contains CLA (conjugated linoleic acid), white kidney bean, and saffron.

But as always, there's no miracle weight loss pill, so never rely solely on a supplement to make you "skinny." Balance is key, so be sure to eat a well-rounded, healthy diet and add in a regular exercise regimen for optimal weight loss results.

You can also combine different forms of cardiovascular exercises to keep yourself away from boredom.
One of the disadvantages of low-calorie diets is that it makes you feel constantly hungry.
Drink at least 32 ounces of 100% natural organic cranberry
juice every day.
