Amphipod Hydraform Handheld Bottle

When you are on the treadmill, have you ever wondered why they have drink holders? NO! I know that was a stupid question. See there are such thing as dumb questions. Those cup holders are there because you should have a water or sports drink to sip on. If you enjoy running then you understand how important it is to hydrate before, during and after. So what do you do when you're not on a treadmill and you decide to run a 5k outside, or take a jog around the neighborhood? Do you run holding a water bottle? Chances are the answer is no. So what's your secret to getting water during workouts?

I used to place a water bottle in the driveway and run the neighborhood route circling back to my house when I needed water. But sometimes I run a trail or take a different route and find myself 30 minutes into my run and no where near home to get water. Now I learned from doing obstacle course races that there's the camel water backpack and a waistband water bottle belt. But I don't really run long enough to need an entire back pack nor do I want to wear a belt while running. So I took to Google and did my research. I was looking into running water bottles and found EXACTLY what I needed. The Amphipod Hydraform Handheld Bottle. What's cool about this one is that it comes in five different sizes to meet your needs: 4, 10.5, 12, 16, or 20 ounces. I opted for the 12 ounce. This is the perfect amount for my typical 3-4 mile runs.

It fits perfectly to my hand, is easily adjustable, and doesn't slip when you are sweating. I was afraid that filling it with water would weigh my arm down, but to my surprise it didn't seem to weigh much. There's a little pouch on the strap that will fit your key, credit card, iPod, and other small items. Unfortunately, the pouch isn't larger enough to fit my iPhone 4S, so I still need to wear my arm band.
