Ok readers, I have one final Christmas themed recipe for you and this one was a huge hit that after 30 minutes, there weren't any left! The Christmas Wiener Wreath. So, the name may not sound appropriate... Let's call it the Lit'l Smokies Wreath :) Now this recipe isn't super healthy, but this can be your little indulgence appetizer. And, opting for the Turkey Lit'l Smokies makes this the healthier option. So steer clear of the beef for cheddar smokies and you'll save yourself 70 calories!
Turkey Lit'l Smokies Nutrition Facts |
1 package Hillshire Farms Turkey Lit'l Smokies
2 packages Pillsbury Reduced Fat Crescent Rolls
1/4 Red Pepper
Spray Oil
Basil
Directions:
Unroll the crescent rolls. Cut each section into three pieces. Place a turkey smokie in the dough and roll it. Continue until all dough or smokies are gone. Place on a baking sheet. Spray the rolls and then sprinkle on basil. Pre-heat the oven to 375 degrees and bake for 12 minutes. Once these are baked, place in a circle on a round serving tray. Make two slices from the side of a red pepper so they are circular. Then cut two straight slices and form a bow like the picture. Serve and enjoy!!
Happy Holidays FitFadFan Readers!!
